Xu Liu is a scientific engineering associate in the China Energy Group at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. Her recent research focuses on the electricity market, energy modeling and greenhouse gases mitigation in China. Prior to joining LBNL, Xu worked at Resources for the Future as a research assistant in Washington DC, where she assessed the design of three carbon trading pilots in China.
Xu holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Sciences, both from Peking University, and a Master's degree in Environmental Science from Yale University.
