Henry Willem is an energy efficiency and indoor environment researcher with the Energy Efficiency Standards Department at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. Henry leads various field research projects and research teams on residential and commercial space heating and cooling products.
The team supports and provides inputs to the standards and test procedures developments. In addition, Willem serves as technical lead in the test procedures program for various space cooling products. He is also co-PI on two California Energy Commission projects, which focus on energy efficiency measures in low-income and disadvantaged communities in California.
In his previous experience, he has led and co-led field studies in homes, schools, and office buildings, as well as conducted experimental studies in the laboratory setting with focus on human subjects’ exposure and responses. He has BEng and MSc degrees and holds a dual PhD degree from National University of Singapore and Technical University of Denmark.
