Researchers in EAEI focus on three broad areas: Energy Markets, Policy, and Infrastructure; Energy and Environmental Systems Analysis; and Appliance and Equipment Standards.

We develop analytical and experimental methods and tools to assess the technical, economic and market potential of energy technologies, as well as the associated social, economic, health and environmental impacts.
Research +
EAEI researchers provide unbiased, scientific, high quality and innovative research and technical assistance to government agencies in the United States and throughout the world. We help these entities develop long-term strategies, policies and programs that facilitate energy efficiency and the deployment of clean energy technology with minimum environmental and health impacts in all sectors and industries.

Bio

Jill Moraski is a 3rd year Ph.D. student in the Energy and Resources Group at UC Berkeley and a GSRA in EMP. She is interested in addressing electric grid reliability and resilience challenges in a future characterized by economy-wide decarbonization, climate vulnerability, and deep risk uncertainty. Specifically, she’s interested in adapting best practices in risk management and resilience planning to the electricity sector and quantifying the economic and resilience benefits of cross-sectoral infrastructural deployment. Prior to joining ERG, Jill worked for the Brattle Group’s energy practice, where she built a capacity expansion optimization model to examine futures with high penetrations of non-emitting and distributed energy resources. Jill holds a B.A. in Computer Science with a Certificate in Informatics and Modelling from Wesleyan University.
