Bio

Robert Hosbach is a Staff Data Scientist in the Energy Efficiency Standards (EES) Department at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory.  He has worked in the EES Department to support Federal appliance efficiency standards and test procedures since 2014.

Robert's areas of expertise include energy use and life-cycle cost analyses, test procedure development, statistical modeling, and data analysis.  His current projects include lighting products, refrigeration products, and ceiling fans.

Prior to his work at LBNL, Robert worked in various capacities at Humboldt State University's Schatz Energy Research Center. His work there was focused on product testing and test method and policy development for Lighting Global, a World Bank Group project focused on supporting sustainable growth of the international off-grid lighting market.
