Tanumoy Banerjee
Tanumoy Banerjee is a Postdoctoral research fellow in the Systems and Energy Technologies Analysis (SETA) Department, part of the Energy Analysis (EA) Division at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, Berkeley. Tanumoy earned his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering in the year 2024 from Lehigh University, where he worked on developing hydrogen energy storage systems integration with sub-critical power plants for energy efficiency and conversion, atomistic study of hydrogen interaction with Nickel-superalloys and data-driven modeling of hydrogen storage in metal hydrides and high entropy alloys.
Tanumoy’s research is centered on developing efficient hydrogen storage systems using metal hydrides under ambient conditions, as well as capturing and utilizing boil-off from stored liquid hydrogen. His work aims to facilitate a smoother transition toward clean energy solutions and a sustainable green hydrogen economy.
