Abstract

Energy efficiency evaluation, measurement and verification (EM&V) processes and reporting practices vary widely among utilities and other efficiency program administrators and states. Many studies of reporting practices for efficiency programs have identified issues of consistency, rigor and completeness.  Thus, there are opportunities via increasing calibration on EM&V and consistency of reporting for:

  • Improving the quality of EM&V,
  • Facilitating interstate (and intrastate) benchmarking, disclosure, and tracking of energy efficiency, and
  • Reducing EM&V development and implementation costs.

This webinar’s presenters include experts in this field that will describe regional and national efforts associated with improving the quality and/or consistency of EM&V practices for a range of efficiency activities including programs funded by utility customers, energy service company (ESCO) projects, and industrial efficiency programs.
