Peng Peng

Dr. Peng Peng is a Research Scientist and licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in the Sustainable Energy & Environmental Systems (SEES) Department, Energy Analysis and Environmental Impacts (EAEI) Division at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (LBNL). Dr. Peng's research focuses on advancing the deployment of sustainable energy and advanced manufacturing technologies through improvements in economics and circularity.

Dr. Peng is the Principal Investigator (PI) of over $1.7M research projects (over $6.5M including co-PI) funded by US Department of Energy (DOE)'s Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Technologies Office (HFTO), Solar Energy Technologies Office (SETO), and Joint Office of Energy and Transportation (JOET). He also serves as a senior research personnel for DOE's Hydrogen Materials Advanced Research Consortium (HyMARC), Industrial Efficiency & Decarbonization Office (IEDO) Strategic Analysis team, and the HydroGEN Advanced Water Splitting Materials Consortium.

Dr. Peng is the LBNL lead of DOE's 2024 PV Cost Benchmark, and the Hydrogen lead of DOE's Transformative Pathways for U.S. Industry.
